In 2008, a cashew processing company in Tchaourou, Benin, opened its doors. Today it employs 300 people who are producing about 300 metric tons of cashew kernels annually for export. In about a month, a similar operation will start processing cashew in Burkina Faso. Both companies demonstrate the potential of the African cashew industry...
